Joseph drew a hexagon on a 3-inch square piece of paper. He cut four identical right triangles from the four corners of the paper. The height of each triangle is 1/2 the length of the paper. The base of each triangle is 1/3 the length of the paper.

Hello! Thank you for answering my question. I just have one small problem; I know that you have to multiply 1/2 x 1/2, what I'm wondering is what is the last number? This is my problem: 3 x 3 - 4 x (1/2 x 1/2 x ?)

The area of each triangle is (0.5)(1-the base)(1.5-the height) = 0.75
